Man Critically Wounded In Sunday Night Union Ridge Shooting
A 24 year old male was critically wounded, no one in custody
Police responded to call of a person shot on the 6300 block of W Catalpa late Sunday night around 11:44 PM.
When police arrived on scene they found a man who was lying in the alley and who had been shot three times, in the left leg, the right leg and the groin. Additionally, police found multiple garage doors that had been damaged by the gunshots.
Witnesses reported hearing about six shots. Police located eight shell casings. The victim was identified as a 24 year old male who is said to have minimal criminal history. The victim told police he heard shots and felt pain and he did not see who shot him. The victim was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in critical but stable condition.
