Man Killed In Early Monday Morning Shooting in Forest Glen
The victim crashed after shots were fired, the victim remains unidentified by police
Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired and a crash around 4:47 A.M. on the 5300 block of N Cicero. Scanner traffic shows that an officer may have heard the shots and alerted everyone that it sounded like “automatic gunfire.”
Police arrived on scene and found an unresponsive man with 2 gunshot wounds to the head. The vehicle had crashed into another and that vehicle crashed into a tree.
A witness told police that one of the vehicles made a U-Turn when people in another vehicle began to fire shots. A citizen we spoke to said they heard the shots and they believe heard 10 shots and say it sounded like automatic gunfire, coinciding with scanner traffic. Police were unable to identify the victim and was identified only as a “John Doe” as of this writing. A 911 caller said a silver Honda hatchback fled the area after the shots were fired and believe was possibly involved.
Police have no one in custody and continue to conduct interviews and their investigation. Anyone with information regarding this homicide is encouraged to call Area Five Detectives at 312-746-6614.
Update: Per a source, the Jeep was reported stolen and had stolen plates attached to it.
19 year old, Christopher Kudlick, was identified as the victim. He was shot twice in the head.
