Man shot, over 70 Shell Casings Recovered At Albany Park Hookah Lounge
A man was shot in the neck
Chicago Police originally responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 3:15 am Sunday morning at the Cairo Nights Hookah Lounge on the 3400 block of W Foster. As police arrived on scene, they heard multiple shots actively being fired in the rear of the lounge.
As the shots were being fired, police saw multiple people scattering and found a 29 year old man shot in the neck inside the bathroom of the hookah lounge.
Police also located 66 shell casings and 2 live rounds in the parking lot of the lounge plus an additional 2 casings in the doorway of the hookah lounge and an additional 10 rifle shell casings across the street from the hookah lounge. Additionally, police found multiple shot up vehicles and the windows of the hookah lounge were also shot up.
A witness described the offender as a male, Black, about 5'7", wearing a black cap, a white hoodie with a pink patch, and jeans. The victim was transported to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition. As of this writing, no one is in custody.
